Who’s the Ref – Update on Appointments and Preparations
Our preparations are not being helped by the continuing delay to the release of next season’s fixtures by the leagues’ organisers. This may mean that we will appoint in smaller blocks than the usual six weeks.
From now on if you have any further pre-season fixtures or want to change a previously advised match, please send the details as soon as possible in an email to email@example.com with the text “Pre-season in the subject.
Much work has been done, and continues to go on, in preparation for the Society using Who’s the Ref (WTR) for appointments.
Thanks to all referees, match observers and club contacts who have completed the WTR registration process by setting their passwords.
If you are a Society member or your club’s main contact for the Society, but did not receive the request to set your password, then please advise us at firstname.lastname@example.org .
The instructions for setting your WTR password can be found in the madrefs.co.uk document library, should you have mislaid the email.
Referees are now setting their availability in WTR for August and September; again thanks to those who have already done this.
Next season’s fixtures for the various leagues are being added to WTR as soon as they are confirmed; most of this work is being done centrally.
The Appointments team will soon be starting its work.
Once the new season is underway, the Society will investigate extending its use of WTR – more details will be provided in due course.
