2020 AGM Postponed
The Executive Committee has decided to postpone the Society AGM, which was due to be held on 2nd June 2020.
An email announcing this was sent to all members on 14th May and a copy of it is reproduced below.
To All Members
The Season has drawn to an abrupt close with the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic and I, along with the whole of the Executive Committee, send our best wishes for you and your families to stay safe and well.
Because of the uncertainty of when we shall restart the season, with the difficulty of us all getting together at the moment and not everyone having the required access to the internet, the Executive Committee have determined to postpone the AGM, which was due to be held on 2nd June 2020, until a more suitable time when we can get together.
Until then the Executive Committee and the various teams have agreed to continue in their current roles.
I shall immediately inform you when it has been decided to hold the AGM.
Meanwhile, I shall circulate my report in a few days, which is longer than usual as it encompasses reports from the various teams within the Society.
The Financial report will follow later.
I also wish to inform you that the Society has refunded 50% of this year’s subscriptions to 62 rugby clubs as part of the RFU initiative and we shall review the subscriptions for the coming season when we have more details of rugby’s resumption.
